WooHoo! December 1st. I am happy for December to be here. I am ready to embrace the winter.
Bare trees, dark days and warm crochet accessories.

December is now a bit of a life marker and the beginning of a new journey for me. Last year on December 18th I wound up taking an ambulance ride to ICU with a 2% chance of surviving.
I am type 1 diabetic and it was the holidays and I was drinking way too much. Stupid, I know.
After getting out of the hospital I quit smoking and drinking but I still don't feel healthy.
I use all organic beauty products but I still eat crap so I decided that today will be the day to start eating right. I am going on an 80% juice diet, allowing in a small amount of raw veggies and some grains.
...and coffee. I think that will be my last vice to go.

Here is what today's diet looks like

If you or anyone that you know is having a hard time with diabetes there is a great book by Gabriel Cousens about curing diabetes with diet and herbs.
The book is basically a 21 day plan to reset the DNA through green juice fasting and a 100% organic, nutrient-dense, vegan, low-glycemic, low-insulin-scoring, and high-mineral diet of living foods..

Here is the link to the book if you are interested.
